🟢 Head of the National Relations Office at Hamas, Hussam Badran, to Safa Agency:

We have not received any new proposal regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and the proposal presented to us by the mediators on May 6, which was accepted by Hamas and the resistance factions, is the adopted stance.

President Joe Biden's speech concerning negotiations to end the war on Gaza indicates that the occupation and its main supporters are in a state of confusion because they bet on the defeat and collapse of our people and resistance, which did not happen.

Biden's statement implicitly acknowledged that the occupation is unable to achieve any of the political and military objectives it has announced over the past months.

The United States has the tools and ability to pressure Netanyahu and his extremist government to stop the war because they are the ones refusing to reach any agreement.

Netanyahu is the only party obstructing any agreement and wants the war to continue for personal and partisan reasons, disregarding the regional and international consensus, which is almost unanimous in wanting to stop it.

Netanyahu's statements somewhat respond to Biden's speech, indicating he does not want to move toward any practical agreement.

The primary guarantee for implementing any agreement is our strength on the ground as a people and resistance.

We will not allow the occupation to have any role in arranging our internal affairs, whether the situation inside Gaza or managing the crossings in general, especially the Rafah crossing.

The occupation must withdraw from the Rafah crossing, which is a Palestinian consensus, and the previous administration of the crossing should return. Arranging the Palestinian situation is an internal matter we Palestinians will manage without agreeing to any regional or international pressure.
