✅ Just a reminder—Dear Indians-don’t fuel the narrative that Iran and India have 5000 years of relations; it’s a western way of poor diplomacy. Such a stance goes against the principles of the Islamic government of Iran and its ideological boundaries.

Which Iran had relationships with Darius? Shapur? Xerxes? Shah Raza Pahlavi? Even in diplomacy, it is not favorable or correct to demonstrate that past relationships have anything to do with the present. India never severed its ties with Iran, but it never supported or stood by it when needed. It was buying cheap oil, which it cut because of the USA. Publicly, India prioritized US inhumanity and the dehumanization of Iran.

We have nothing to do with Iran before Imam Khomeini other than its Islamic masses and God-fearing leaders (adieu to—Fadhlullah Nuri, Shaheed Modarres, Nawab Safawi). In today’s world, no country has proven to be a better ideological partner for Iran, and this is a matter that needs serious discussion.

All the time—just making symbolic gestures won’t yield results. One should work hard to realize connections on religious, political, social, or at least human backgrounds.

✅ Majority of Iranian consulates whether in Europe or in India or China- their efforts haven’t yielded the desired results yet. A majority of these diplomats are not prepared to export Islamic values, even if they are sharing literature or arts. They aren’t even Islamic themselves, so why waste funds on topics with no real value? While I’m not entirely against studying history and conservation, it should be a subject for an institute, not a main agenda.

These embassies and consulates have become hubs for the non-Islamic Iranian diaspora or elites who know how to benefit in the name of Iran.

Cultural promotion is necessary, but it should focus on Islamic Iran’s culture. While it’s fine to have a corner for those interested in ancient Iranian history, the representation should not become a platform for the bogus racial and ethnic narratives of the Sassanid Eranshahr-i.

Diplomacy today is often linked with liberalism, but that’s a dead-end thought. Amir Abdollahian (r) showed what true Islamic diplomacy should look like.

Especially in India, inviting Pajeet-Sanghis or organizing song and dance cultural programs is a different problem. Iranian researchers and those involved should be well-educated, trained, and informed about their Islamic values.
