The Zionist government has approved a plan to evacuate the occupied city of Asqalan, home to 157,000 settlers. This decision comes after the city endured a barrage of rockets over 12 days. Asqalan, which was built atop the Palestinian city of Al-Majdal, faces evacuation following the equation and threat stated by Al-Qassam Brigades' spokesman Abu Obeida: "displacement for displacement."

These developments follow prior approvals to evacuate settlements in the Gaza envelope and all settlements within a five-kilometer radius of the Lebanese border, an extension of an initial plan to evacuate 28 settlements.
