The ideal model to gain followers and build a platform for ministry today is remaining silent on “controversial” and “taboo topics”.

I was told years ago to avoid topics such as the rapture, sin, sanctification, holiness, the preaching on righteousness, anything supernatural, including the gifts of the spirit, the baptism of the spirit, healing, miracles and demonology discussions.

I was told to remain silent on these topics and stay “basic” and “fundamental” and only speak about the love of God. The general consensus was to not “offend anyone”.

I regret to inform all of you that I have failed miserably regarding this “ministry model” that I was told to embrace and that I intend to continue preaching the WHOLE Bible and not the verses that makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy!
