If you want to know just how hardened men’s hearts will be in the last days, just take a look at this passage in the Book of Revelation Chapter eleven where it tells us that the two witnesses will be slain by the Antichrist in Jerusalem and the entire World will witness this event in real time.

This is fascinating in itself because it speaks of how in John’s day the technology to make this possible did not exist but today we have it readily available through the advent of news networks, social media platforms and satellite television.

After these two men are slain the Bible gives us a profound revelation in regards to the condition of the World, their attitude toward God, his word and his prophets. Here is what the Bible says 👇🏽

“And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.

And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.” - Revelation 11:8-10

- First of all, notice the condition of Jerusalem when this event happens. John described it as “spiritually Sodom and Egypt”. This is definitely not a good description of a city to have.

This indicates that even Jerusalem will decay further into moral darkness as we nearcthe coming of the Lord.

Sodom was one the wicked cities of the plains that was destroyed because it was filled with at least 4 different sins that Ezekiel states that brought judgment.

Whereas, Egypt was known to be filled with idolatry and unbelief.

We can already see this now as Tel Aviv is known as the “Gay Capital” of the “Middle East.

- The next thing we see is how the World responds to the slaying of these two men of God.

The Bible says the whole world will rejoice, be merry and celebrate, even sending gifts to one another, all because these two prophets who have been a nuisance to the World by proclaiming righteousness and bringing judgments against the ungodly and exposing the Antichrist for who he truly is will be removed from the Earth!

Can you see it? The World is getting darker and men’s hearts are waxing colder! They love evil, immorality and abominations. They despise God and those who truly obey the Bible!

The mystery of lawlessness is abounding and it will set the stage for the revealing of the “Lawless One” but Jesus said this his bride👇🏽
