“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;” - I Thessalonians 4:3-5

ATTENTION: We plan on going LIVE tonight at 8pm Eastern for our devotional and prayer, we then will move things around this week and be off tomorrow and be broadcasting Wednesday thru Friday. Also, please keep our family in prayer. My wife is sick and we are praying she recovers quickly and that this doesn’t hit all of us in the house. See you tonight.

Does your pastor speak about the coming of Christ?

Several books explicitly mention or allude to the Second Coming in the New Testament alone. The Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—all contain teachings from Jesus about His return.

Beyond the Gospels, the Book of Acts shows us that Jesus will return as He ascended in Acts chapter one.

In the Epistles, 1 Thessalonians (4:16–17) vividly describes the Lord descending with a shout, and 2 Thessalonians (1:7–10) elaborates on His return with judgment.

1 Corinthians (15:23) ties Christ’s coming to the resurrection of the dead, and 2 Peter (3:10) warns of the day of the Lord coming like a thief, with the heavens passing away.

Hebrews (9:28) states Christ will appear a second time for salvation, and James (5:7–8) urges patience until the Lord’s coming.

1 John (3:2) connects His appearing to believers becoming like Him, and Jude (1:14–15) cites a prophecy of the Lord coming with thousands of holy ones.

The Book of Revelation is the most detailed, with chapters like Revelation 1:7 (“Behold, He is coming with the clouds”) and Revelation 19:11–16 (depicting Christ’s triumphant return) serving as climactic portrayals of the Second Coming.

Even the Old Testament speaks of this event in prophetic books like Daniel (7:13–14, the Son of Man coming with clouds), Zechariah (14:4, the Lord’s feet on the Mount of Olives), and Isaiah (66:15–16, the Lord coming with fire and judgment).

With all this being said, How are so many pulpits silent regarding this glorious event?
