Many of us have probably heard circulated for years that Jesus had no one supporting his Ministry. First off all, Jesus had a treasurer. You don’t need a treasurer unless you are receiving income.

Secondly, the Book of Luke alone tells us that several women supported him and these are just the ones that are mentioned in the scriptures. 👇🏽

“Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God.

And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.” Luke 8:1-3

The Word “substance” here in Greek literally means “possessions, goods, wealth, and property”

Joseph of Arimathea who is also mentioned in the Bible was a wealthy man who was a follower of Jesus provided a new rock-hewn sepulcher where no one had been laid.

So once again, there is so much traditions of men that have passed down for generations that end up preached behind pulpits that aren’t even Biblical.
