Pink October— Together against Breast cancer

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we as SCOPH-AA are joining the global effort to raise awareness, promote early detection, and support patients living with breast cancer.

According to WHO (2023):

📊 Breast cancer is the most common cancer globally, with 2.3 million new cases and 685,000 deaths in 2020.

📊 Mortality remains high in low- and middle-income countries due to late diagnosis and limited access to treatment.

🇪🇹 Breast cancer is the leading cancer among Ethiopian women, accounting for up to 33% of all female cancers (BMC Cancer 2024; National Guideline 2024).

💗 Join SCOPH-AA this Pink October as we highlight the science, the statistics, and the stories behind Breast Cancer.
