for research observership and shadowing. They get to experience research in Ethiopia, specifically research in medicine.
๐จโ๐ซ The first two weeks of this month, our exchange students had a few sessions at EPHI, visited the facilities and some even shadowed a research with the title "Carbapenem Resistant Enterobactericeae" - which was a great opportunity.
๐We would like to express our warmest gratitude to Mr. Feyisa - Director of the laboratory unit at EPHI, Mr. Zeleke and Mrs. Etsehiwot - the researchers, Mr. Nega - department head, Mrs. Firehiwot and many more who helped us have an amazing experience at EPHI.
๐ As always, we hope our students have a wonderful time this month.

Last weekend, we set out on a three-day tour to Arbaminch, one of Ethiopiaโs most breathtaking destinations. ๐ฟโจ The journey was nothing short of amazing, offering us the perfect blend of nature, adventure, and culture.
Our first stop was the stunning Nech Sar National Park, where endless green landscapes, wildlife, and fresh air gave us a true taste of Ethiopiaโs natural beauty. We visited the majestic Lake Chamo, famous for its massive crocodilesโsome believed to be over 100 years old! ๐ Watching them in their natural habitat was both thrilling and unforgettable.
We also had the chance to immerse ourselves in the colorful traditions of the Dorze village. Known for its warm hospitality, cultural richness, unique handwoven attires, and traditional drinks, the experience was a beautiful reminder of Ethiopiaโs diverse heritage.
Three days went by so quickly, but Arbaminch left us with memories that will last a lifetime.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide, yet it remains heavily underdiagnosed, especially in low-resource settings.
๐ Globally, over 1.4 million men are diagnosed every year.
๐ช๐น In Ethiopia, prostate cancer is the 2nd most common cancer in men, causing over 2,700 new cases and more than 1,600 deaths annually.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
