💚 Dr. Paul Farmer (1959–2022) was a physician, anthropologist, and humanitarian who dedicated his life to providing healthcare to the world’s poorest communities.
🤝 Co-founder of Partners In Health, he believed that healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right. His work in Haiti, Rwanda, and beyond transformed medical care for underserved populations.
🏥 He pioneered community-based healthcare and fought against global health inequalities, ensuring that people in poverty received life-saving treatments for diseases like tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and Ebola.

✨Truth is most of us don't.
SCORE is here to address your concern starting with a short 6 weeks research 101 series.
📣Our first session will honorDr. Abel Tenaw ,
- Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine
- Director for Clinical Services at TASH
- An accomplished academician - gold medalist of both his undergraduate and post graduate classes at AAU
- Clinical researcher with several publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals
He will walk us through the the reality of medical research, starting from the basics on how we as students can start our research journey. He will also share his journey in medicine and how to balance becoming a clinician and a researcher at the same time.
The sessions are for all medical students. You are welcome to attend.
