Our own VPM, Amira, had the pleasure of attending 5 days long workshop from May 27- 31, 2023 Bishoftu - Kilole Hotel. She was able to represent EMSA on the discussions on tool revision for Accreditation of Medical Schools prepared by Education and Training Authority(ETA) and Ethiopian Medical Association(EMA).
Through this, we were able to modify the accreditation tools and rubrics with our VPM representing the students' perspective on the matter. During the event, our VPM emphasized the importance of involving EMSA members in the accreditation process and urged the Medical School Deans in attendance to take this into consideration.

1600 BC (Ancient Egypt): Doctors discovered that the heart pumps🩸around the body.
For thousands of years, the heart got the credit for almost everything that happened in the body. The Ancient Egyptians noticed there were tubes coming off the heart going in all sorts of different directions, so they decided that it was responsible for moving around blood (yep!), spit (umm, nope), poo (what were they thinking?), the soul (is that even a thing?) and ghosts 👻 (umm, guys...).
