This is a good reminder that dwelling on the past is pointless and that all that matters is today and the chance that it brings for making it a good day.
As much as life can often throw curveballs at us, remember that our attitude towards them is our choice, so make that choice consciously.
Choose to be the best version of yourself, choose to enjoy what you have, choose to be grateful, choose to be kind, in other words choose to shine your light for yourself and everyone around you.
If we all choose to do this, can you imagine how much better everything will be? So be that which you would like to see around you.
Things can only change for the better when we all make a choice to be better ourselves. So let’s start today with a song just like birds do! That should set the right tone for the rest of the day!

When trust goes…
The say trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair.
But is this so?
We are indoctrinated from childhood to trust authority without questioning, it’s not a matter of building the trust, it’s more a matter of being told we must trust and so we do.
I remember as a child and a young adulthood, I trusted without questioning that the food sold in a supermarket would have gone through rigorous inspections and controls to make sure it would not harm my health. I trusted.
When visiting the doctor, I assumed he/she knew best and actually cared for my health and well being. I trusted.
As a student, I assumed teachers and professors were teaching facts and truths. History was what it had been, science was factual. I trusted.
When I turned 18 and voted for the first time, I felt important, like my opinion counted and voting made a difference. I assumed that democracy was legitimate and fair. I trusted.
When I first opened a bank account, I was convinced my money would be safe and my affairs kept privately and in confidence. I trusted.
When I first started paying taxes, it hurt, but I assumed it was necessary for the proper running of the country; hospitals, airports, highways, pensions, etc, had to be maintained. I trusted.
When I took my first child to school, I assumed her academic, psychological and physical well being would be in good hands. I trusted.
I trusted. We trusted.
And not because any of these institutions or establishment had proven to us we could trust them, but because we had been indoctrinated to believe they were indeed trusworthy.
The trust however was not broken in a second, like the saying goes, the trust was destroyed slowly but consistently as we swallowed one red pill after the other…
What do you mean there are genetically modified components in our food?😳 What do you mean they allow for dangerous chemicals to be used? 😱What do you mean there’s fluoride in the water? 🥴They are teaching WHAT?! in school?! 🤨You mean politicians are puppets? 🤦🏻♀️You mean there’s electoral fraud? 😡Doctors are following orders? 🧐They are just drug prescribers? 🤮Vaccines contain what?! 🤯
But I thought… But I was told… But I trusted…. I trusted… I trusted…
We trusted. But we trust no more. Because perhaps we never should have, why should we? Prove to me first that I can trust you and then we’ll see…
All I know is that the only accurate part of the saying is that trust takes forever to repair.
So now I just trust myself and God. I keep it simple and I’m never disappointed. I recommend it. 😊
