Looks like we mined a trophy 🏆

EMCD has won the Best Crypto Mining Pool award at the CoinGape Web3 Innovation Awards 2026.

We’ll admit it: seeing EMCD take home this award feels pretty good. But the real achievement is building a pool miners trust for stable performance, secure operations, and consistent payouts.

Thank you for choosing EMCD and growing with us. This award has your hashrate written all over it.

❤️ — to many more blocks ahead

More hashrate means more heat to manage 🏭

Air cooling remains a practical choice for smaller farms with good ventilation 👍

But as ASIC performance increases and rack density grows, air cooling becomes harder to scale — temps rise, overclocking becomes less consistent, and dust accumulates.

Hydro and immersion address these challenges differently, but both require suitable power capacity, cooling infrastructure, and maintenance planning.

We compared both options — swipe through the cards 👉

✔️ Save this post for future reference and share it with someone planning a cooling upgrade.

If your ASICs could talk, they’d probably ask one question:
💭Are we connected to the right pool?💭

In 2026, that question matters more than ever.

CryptoSlate takes a closer look at how the mining pool landscape is changing, with a widening gap between institutional-scale operators and miners who still need flexibility, transparent terms, and reliable operational support.

EMCD is a part of that story as a global top 10 mining pool focused on independent miners, small farms, and mid-size mining businesses.

📰 What happened in mining last week
EMCD Digest | July 6–12, 2026

♦️ Bitcoin mining difficulty drops by 5%
At block 957,600, Bitcoin mining difficulty fell from 133.87T to 127.17T after the network’s average hashrate declined, giving miners some short-term relief from competitive pressure.

♦️ TeraWulf signs a 20-year agreement with Anthropic
TeraWulf will provide approximately 401 MW of capacity at its Kentucky data center. The deal adds a long-term AI infrastructure revenue stream alongside the company’s Bitcoin mining operations.

♦️ MARA adds a 2 GW site for mining and HPC
The Texas site is expected to support both high-performance computing and flexible workloads, such as Bitcoin mining, giving MARA more options for utilizing and monetizing its power capacity.

♦️ Bitdeer expands SEALMINER production in the US
The Nevada facility will be able to produce up to 10,000 machines per month, helping Bitdeer bring manufacturing closer to US customers and strengthen its supply chain.

♦️ CleanSpark mines 614 BTC in June
CleanSpark ended June with 614 BTC mined, 50 EH/s of operational hashrate, and 13,924 BTC in reserves while continuing to develop its HPC business alongside large-scale Bitcoin mining.

♦️ BitFuFu’s output falls despite growth in self-owned hashrate
June production fell by 29.4% as total hashrate under management dropped from 19.5 EH/s to 15.3 EH/s, even as BitFuFu expanded its self-owned mining capacity to 3.5 EH/s.

See you next week with another mining roundup.

👉 EMCD on BIP-110

BIP-110 is back in focus as its planned signaling window approaches.

If activated, BIP-110 would introduce tighter rules for storing non-financial data on Bitcoin for about a year. The changes would affect Ordinals-related transactions, among others.

At EMCD, we don’t see how BIP-110 can add any real value to the network. Since Ordinals emerged, miners have adapted, the fee market has discovered a new balance, and the Bitcoin network has continued to operate as usual.

With less than 1% of the hashrate signaling for change and no clear beneficiary, the case for altering Bitcoin’s consensus rules is hard to stand by.

Protecting Bitcoin’s “purity” isn’t a strong enough reason either. For now, BIP-110 seems more like a political initiative than a practical one.

EMCD Mining Pool will not signal support for BIP-110.

What’s your take on BIP-110? Let’s discuss it in the comments 👇

Bitcoin has no boardroom. So who gets the final say ⁉️

🖤 At Mining Disrupt, Michael Jerlis, CEO of EMCD, will present:
Bitcoin Governance: Who Really Decides the Future? Lessons from BIP-110

As the August signaling window approaches, BIP-110 raises an important question: who benefits from a rule that adds nothing to hashprice or block revenue, while placing the implementation risk squarely on miners?

If the answer is “no” to 3 or more questions, your mining farm could be at risk.

After the halving, even small inefficiencies have become costly: high electricity rates, aging ASICs, overheating, rejected shares, or inaccurate ROI calculations can quickly reduce mining performance.

🏭 We created a free Post-Halving Survival Guide to help miners assess their operations and identify opportunities for improvement.

Inside the guide:
♦️ A 6-question mining farm survival checklist
♦️ ROI calculator for different mining scenarios
♦️ Electricity cost and efficiency benchmarks
♦️ Practical ways to reduce hidden losses

📰 What happened in mining last week
EMCD Digest | July 13–19, 2026

A new week is underway, but first, a quick look at the developments that shaped Bitcoin mining over the past seven days.

♦️ Global hashrate fell 6.3% quarter over quarter
The 30-day average fell to about 940 EH/s for a second consecutive quarter as low hashprice pushed less-efficient machines offline.

♦️ Foundry opened a hashrate-weighted vote on BIP-110
The pool will support the proposed limits on non-monetary Bitcoin data only if Yes votes exceed 51% of participating hashrate.

♦️ Keel advanced a 96 MW mining-to-AI conversion project
The company received local approval to consolidate power from three Québec mining sites into an AI and HPC campus, while provincial approval is still required.

♦️ Texas heat cut Olenox fleet utilization
June utilization fell to about 67% as the company increased curtailment and low-power operation at its Texas hosting site.

♦️ A Bitaxe solo miner found a block after eight hours
A solo miner using the 995.2 GH/s device received 3.1382 BTC, compared with an estimated average wait of 16,000–18,300 years at that hashrate.
