I prepared something unique for those interested in the 2023 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program. I don't think you will be able to find something similar anywhere else 😉. I reached out some successful TEA alumni and made a collection of tips so that you can have some guidance when completing your applications. Grab your coffee ☕️, get comfortable 🛋 and be ready to gain valuable insights from dedicated professionals 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫. This is going to be quite a long read.

Nosirjon Davlatov: Man hammaga application to'ldirishda bitta valuable maslahatni berib kelaman. Ya'ni TEA Program objectives bilan sizning participation objective laringiz match qilishi kerak deyman. Ular program overviewni o'qib chiqishsa u yerda program nima maqsadni oldiga qo'yganligi yozilgan, agar applicant o'zinig applicationida ham aynan o'shanday objectivelar bo'lsa they are the right person.

Gavhar Aripova: When I prepared my application, I was totally in the process. I remember, that day when I went to turn in the documents, to the embassy. A security man who was accepting our documents wasn't tired of reminding each applicant that there were more than a hundred applicants who had already submitted their documents. When my turn came up, I told: " But I will be one of winners." to his remark that I was too young.☺️
What I want to say is I was totally dedicated to the process of filling in the papers. Of course, I lacked experience, only 2 or 3 years of teaching by that time, my English wasn't good enough. But at that time I had such a passion, such a desire to visit the USA that I started working on my English in addition to the application process.
Do you know what? I felt that, I felt that I was going to win, it was something tangible. Even once, I told myself: "if I don't get it after such an effort, I will never apply for this program again.😸

Again, I think for being successful in anything, one should have a clear understanding of their "wants" and make as much effort as they can do.

Elmyra Jurksaitiene: The only thing that comes to my mind is to think about how the teacher will incorporate the knowledge he gained in the USA into the teaching process after returning back to his own classroom, how he will share that knowledge with his colleagues and how his strengthened cultural awareness, new acquaintances and new experiences will help him develop and grow in his personal and professional life 😃.

Thalia Calderon: In my opinion the teachers must show the will to share the knowledge they get with the TEA program with their colleagues.

Samantha Moktan: Willingness to learn across cultures and different educational systems. Know the fact that TEA participants will be a constant resource for each other during our time together. To keep an open mind.

Elizabeth Rojas: I guess knowing the language is definitely a plus, at least here in Colombia. To be interested in showing the best of the own culture and to be willing to learn from others is also a good point. I guess that's what helped me in my application. Hope these ideas are useful 🤗

These two materials were kindly presented by Venera Arzimbetova, another TEA Program alumna. You can watch her interviews where she shares her experiences at Appalachian State University. Hope this will be helpful as well 🤓.

One more tip from Malohat Djaloldinova: Leaderlik qobiliyatini namoyon etgan qanday harakat/faoliyatlarda faol bo'lganligi, qanday topshiriqlarni (loyiha, namunali dars kabi) jamoa bilan birgalikda bajara olganligi
