IDEAS FOR USING IN THE CLASSROOM:
1οΈβ£ Show the information about a country and tell your students to read it carefully. Allow some time to remember. Hide the information and challenge students to recall as much detail as possible.
2οΈβ£ Tell students to read the information and make True/False statements. Ask them to read the statements to their partners.
3οΈβ£ Students work in groups. Assign a country for each group or let the groups to choose for themselves. Each group creates a short text about their country. Encourage groups to include additional info. Put the texts around the classroom. Students walk and read each otherβs texts.
By the way, if you have YOUR suggestions on using this map, feel free to put them in the comments. I'll be more than happy to learn other ways of using it π€π€©π

P.S. Some features of the interactive map above do not work well on a smartphone, so I would recommend playing it on a computer.

Take your students on a tour around Edinburgh ππΊπ¬.
This material is a PowerPoint version of the text about Edinburgh from Prepare Student's Book for grade 8 (Unit 14 page 86). I've added an interesting animation - a hand slides the phone and changes the pictures. The main purpose of creating this material is to introduce variety (an important element in planning a lesson) as the reading passages in the book follow almost the same pattern, that is students read and listen to the text.
