Inspired by the "Top 5" quiz game from www.games4esl.com (see the earlier post https://t.me/eltresources/4045) I made my own. It can be used as a warm-up/wrap up for the lesson about sport. Hope you will find it useful ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ“โ›น๏ธ.

Activities to use with this worksheet:
Before the class teacher writes three names on the board: Marie, Maskman, Monty.
When pupils come into the classroom, teacher asks them if they can read these words. If they can't, teacher teaches them.
(If pupils are at a very young age or at very early stages of starters, memory games can be played to make them remember the pronunciation of these three words.)
Pupils look at the characters and guess their names:
- She is Marie.
- It is Monty.
- He is Maskman.
Pupils then colour in the characters and the backgrounds. They cut them out and use them as bookmarks.
Then, pupils work in pairs, A and B. Pupil A lifts up one of the bookmarks, Pupil B says hello to the bookmark: "Hello, Marie!". Then s/he asks their names: "What's your name?". Pupil A's bookmark answers and they exchange roles.
Then, teacher calls out a name and pupils lift up the appropriate bookmark:
Teacher: "Where is Marie?"
Pupils: "She's Marie."

Pupils look at the faces and use their fingers to trace over the numbers. They then use pencils to draw noses. When they have drawn all six, they colour in the faces and add hair. Encourage them to be original.
Pupils then work in pairs, A and B. Pupil A shows the number, Pupil B says it. Then they exchange roles.
At the end, teacher calls out a number and pupils draw it with their fingers in the air.

You can teach any "How old are you?" song from the internet.
Pupils colour and cut into the birthday scene and the number wheel. Help them cut out the shaded area in the birthday scene. Help students fix the number wheel to the back of the card using a split paper fastener. Push this through the cross in the birthday scene and then through the cross in the middle of the number wheel. If it's easier, pupils make the holes with pencils. Say a number. Pupils move the number wheel so that the number is showing. Ask "How old are you?", pupils answer with the visible number. They then repeat the exercise in pairs.
You can differentiate activities using the crafts and your imagination.๐Ÿ˜
