Hello everyone! If you remember, a few months ago I made a post about an online tool which can convert a text into an mp3 file. I discovered an even better one - freetts.com. It's free, no registration required, super easy and fast. What's more, it allows more characters than other online services and the voices are more natural.
Just go to the website, copy and paste your text, press "Convert" and voilá 💫
I made an mp3 version of the exercise about robots from Teens' English 8 (Unit 7 Lesson 5). It's exercise 3c on page 58 Listen and check.

Tomorrow I will share one more activity to work with the text. It will make your students stand up and move around the classroom, and not only 😉. Stay tuned 👀🦻😁

Here's the activity I promised to share yesterday.
I decided that it is better to have my students learn phrases rather than individual words as it will help them construct correct sentences and develop their speaking skills. The activity I am going to do is called “Post-it Hunt”.

How to play:
1. Familiarize your students with the following phrases taken from the text prior to starting the activity. As you go through the list ask your students if any of them know the meaning of each item. Tell them to find the sentences with those phrases and work out the meaning.

2. Divide the phrases into two parts and write them on separate post-its.
3. Stick them in different parts of the classroom: under tables, chairs, on the door, on your back, etc.
4. Put students in pairs or teams depending on your class size and assign them a section of the board each. Students must find as many matching phrases as they can and stick them on their part of the board.

Variantion: Pictionary
Write the phrases on scraps of paper.
Put the students into teams of three or four.
Give them 90 seconds to draw as many as they can for their team to guess.
The team with the most correct guesses wins.
