This interactive powerpoint can be used when teaching about national flags and emblems. It is adapted from Unit 5 Lesson 1 (Fly High English 9).
The first slide has the words from Activity 1a p.48. Cick on anywhere on the screen to show the translation of the words.
Then there are flags of Uzbekistan, UK, US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
Displat the flag and ask students to name each part of it. Then click on letters (a-d) to reveal the answer. Click on the "Next" button to go to the next slide.

There are emblems of the same countries. Click on the emblem to choose one and you will be taken to the task. The task is to match the letters with parts of the emblem. Click on the "Check" button to check the answer. Then click on the small green back arrow to return to the slide with emblems and choose another one. 👇

This is an awesome idea for the first day class after winter holidays from Olga Pavlova. She suggests collecting students’ memories about winter holidays into a box.
A student makes a sentence using the appropriate tense (Past Simple to talk about what they did. Present Simple to talk about what people usually do during winter holidys.), a teacher clicks on the bauble and sends it to the box. Or a student can choose an expression and ask his friends a question.
