Good news – The Project Competition is back, and this year we’re asking students to think about their ideal online video call. Who would they invite from today or in history as their guests? What would they ask their guests?
Have your students participate in this global competition and win awesome prizes from Oxford University Press

Interactive notebooks are a very interesting tool to use in teaching. They help students to organize their thoughts and you can address more than one learning style at the same time.

Begin the lesson by announcing that you have an unusual guest today - a shy giraffe. Tell them that pupils will have to make some effort to see its entire body.
πŸ¦’ Shuffle the cards with words and give them out equally to all the pupils. Pupils can spread the cards in front of themselves on the table.
πŸ¦’ Put the giraffe’s head and the first word on the table (e.g. BAG)
πŸ¦’ A pupil sitting to the left looks at his cards and puts the next word but this word must have one different letter (e.g. BAT)
If a pupil does not have such word s/he misses a turn.
πŸ¦’ The game continues this way clockwise:
- bag
- bat
- fat
- fan
- man
- mat
- hat
- ham
- ...
πŸ¦’ The pupil who managed to get rid of all the cards is the winner.
πŸ¦’ If there are still cards left but nobody can add any, the game stops. Count the cards. The pupil with the least number of cards is the winner.
