Уважаемые коллеги!

Хотим напомнить вам о том, что продолжается прием работ для участия в региональном отборочном туре Всероссийского конкурса видеороликов на английском языке “The Contribution of My Family to Our Victory” среди школьников и студентов СПО и вузов.
Организаторами Конкурса являются Национальная ассоциация преподавателей английского языка и ФГБОУ ВО «Воронежский государственный университет».

Категории участников:
Учащиеся 7-9-х классов общеобразовательных школ, гимназий, лицеев и центров образования, частных школ, изучающие английский язык на базовом или профильном уровне;
Учащиеся 10-11-х классов общеобразовательных школ, гимназий, лицеев и центров образования, частных школ, изучающие английский язык на базовом или профильном уровне;
Студенты средних специальных и высших учебных заведений языковых и неязыковых факультетов.

📅Сроки проведения регионального отборочного тура - 2 декабря 2024 г.– 15 марта 2025 г.
📅Сроки проведения всероссийского этапа - 1 апреля - 30 апреля 2025 г.

Meet Ekaterina Shadrova, our guest speaker and a workshop presenter from Moscow.
In her workshop "Russian State Exam: How to teach speaking task 4 in groups" on Aug 29 Ekaterina will show the participants some practical ways to set up interactive activities aimed to develop speaking skills required for the Russian National Exam. They’ll try out some of them so that the attendees could implement them in classes right after the workshop.

Meet Anna Oveshkova, a plenary speaker from Yekaterinburg, who is going to give a talk "Resources to tackle lexical combinability issues in and out of the classroom" on August 28, 2025.

Similarly to the body (thinking metaphorically, of course), we can imagine our knowledge of English (or any other language) to consist of a skeleton (grammar) and muscles (vocabulary). The speaker will introduce the audience to a range of materials invaluable for building up vocabulary muscles. The participants will be given handy tips on using online resources to help their students tackle lexical combinability issues effectively.

Meet Svetlana Khavrenko, our guest speaker from Tyumen!

On Aug 28 her plenary talk "Unlocking Success: Insights into the All-Russia School Olympiad" will provide a comprehensive overview of the All-Russia School Olympiad, delving into the competition’s regional and final stages. The speaker will explore All-Russia School Olympiad participants’ experiences and teachers’ insights and share some preparation techniques and resources.

In her workshop "The All-Russia School Olympiad: How to excel in the writing contest" Svetlana will focus on the Writing contest of the All-Russia School Olympiad. The speaker will cover the evaluation criteria and the key genres featured in the competition, as well as offer a guidance on how to prepare effectively to excel in the contest.

Meet Aida Rodomanchenko, our guest plenary speaker and a workshop presenter from Moscow, who is going to speak on the online day on Aug. 29, 2025.

PLENARY: "Teaching for the next normal: Mapping the Next 25 Years in ELT".

Meet Maria Butakova, our offline day workshop presenter and Creative cafe speaker from Yekaterinburg!

In her workshop "Mini Project Ideas: Building Self-Motivation in Teens" (on Aug 28) Maria will share practical strategies for using mini projects to build self-motivation in teens. Meet Marina Kolesnikova, the conference workshop presenter from KMAO-Ugra!

On Aug 28, 2025 in her workshop "Dramahermeneutics: how to make a text alive", Marina is going to share some techniques of making text alive and helping students develop their imagination and speaking skills. By the end of the workshop the participants will be able to apply all these techniques in classes with primary and secondary school children. The techniques will help students perceive texts in an exciting and vivid way.

Meet Amina Magomedova, the conference workshop presenter from Makhachkala!

On Aug 29, 2025 Amina is going to teach the attendees to pave their path to fluency. By the end of the workshop the participants will have practised their listening and speaking skills highlighting and determining their true level. They will have gotten armed, as well, with the tools and guidelines-tips pertaining the way to move chasing the progression in one of the hardest skills to master - Fluency!

Meet Olga Domorovskaya from Rostov-on-Don, the conference plenary speaker and workshop presenter!

In her plenary talk "AI Prompting: Challenges for Teachers", Olga is going to speak about how a well-crafted prompt saves teachers time by quickly generating useful classroom materials tailored to their needs. It supports professional growth by encouraging reflective thinking—when teachers refine their prompts, they clarify their own instructional goals and strategies. Also on Aug 29 Olga will conduct a workshop "The Art of Prompting: a New Teaching Competence in the Age of AI".
Bу the end of the workshop the participants will have learnt about different ways of critical assessment of the prompts; will have had some practice in writing prompts to meet their needs to the full.
