[ نَسَماتُ الجُمُعَةِ - 7 ]

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَليهِ وَ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

( مَنْ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَمَسَّ مِنْ طِيبِ امْرَأَتِهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَهَا ، وَلَبِسَ مِنْ صَالِحِ ثِيَابِهِ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتَخَطَّ رِقَابَ النَّاسِ ، وَلَمْ يَلْغُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ ، كَانَتْ كَفَّارَةً لِمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ، وَمَنْ لَغَا، وَتَخَطَّى رًقَابَ النَّاسِ ، كَانَتْ لَهُ ظُهْراً. )

حديث صحيح رواه أبو داود.

لما بينهما = لما بين الجمعتين.
كانت له ظهرا = يعني فاته ثواب الجمعة وكانت له كثواب صلاة الظهر.

[ Friday breezes - 7 ]

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

"Whoever washes on Friday, applies some of his wife's perfume if she has any, wears good clothes, does not step over people's necks (to sit in the front), and does not indulge in idle talk during the sermon, that will be an atonement (for his sins) between the two Fridays. But for one who indulges in idle talk and steps over people's necks, that (Friday) will be like Al Thuhur prayer."

‏على المساكين والجيران بما تيسر.

‏اجعل بيتك مأوى للخير يقصده كلُّ محتاج.

‏قال ﷺ :

‏يا عائشة، لا تردّي المساكين، ولو بشقّ تمرة،

‏يا عائشة، أحبِّي المساكينَ، وقرّبيهم،

‏فإن اللهَ يقرّبكِ يوم القيامة.

[ الصِّيامُ جُنَّةٌ - 9 ]

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ صَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

( مَنْ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ صَائِمًا؟ )
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا.
قَالَ: ( فَمَنْ تَبِعَ مِنْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنَازَةً؟ )
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا.
قَالَ: ( فَمَنْ أَطْعَمَ مِنْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِسْكِينًا؟ )
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا.
قَالَ: ( فَمَنْ عَادَ مِنْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مَرِيضًا؟ )
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ( مَا اجْتَمَعْنَ فِي امْرِئٍ إِلاَّ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ. )

رَوَاه مُسْلِم.

[ Fasting is a shield - 9 ]

Once the prophet (PBUH) asked,

"who had observed a fast that day and Abu Bakr said he had. He asked who had followed a bier that day and Abu Bakr said he had. He asked who had fed a poor man that day and Abu Bakr said he had. He asked who had visited a patient that day and Abu Bakr said he had. The prophet (PBUH) then said, “Anyone in whom these good deeds are combined will certainly enter paradise."

( أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَخَلِّلْ بَيْنَ الأَصَابِعِ وَبَالِغْ فِي الاِسْتِنْشَاقِ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا. )

حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ التِّرمِذِي.

( لاَ يَتَقَدَّمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صَوْمَهُ فَلْيَصُمْ ذلِكَ الْيَوْمَ.‏ )

"None of you should fast a day or two before the month of Ramadan unless it is a day that he usually fasts, then let him fast that day."
