A winter night 😒
My window-pane is starred with frost,
The world is bitter cold to-night,
The moon is cruel, and the wind
Is like a two-edged sword to smite.
God pity all the homeless ones,
The beggars pacing to and fro.
God pity all the poor to-night
Who walk the lamp-lit streets of snow.
My room is like a bit of June,
Warm and close-curtained fold on fold,
But somewhere, like a homeless child,
My heart is crying in the cold.

Hey everyone! ❄️
🍊 As the days get shorter and the nights feel endless, we're approaching a special astronomical moment: the Winter Solstice.
⛸️ This year, it falls on Sunday, December 21st. It's the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Think of it as the deep breath winter takes before slowly turning back towards the light. After the solstice, the days gradually start getting longer again.☃️
🎅 So, while it might be the darkest day, it's also a fresh start. A perfect time for cozy reflection and looking forward to brighter days ahead.

Hey guys! Happy Boxing Day!😎
Boxing Day, also known as Offering Day, is a holiday celebrated on 26 December, the day right after Christmas Day⭐️
Boxing Day originated in the United Kingdom and is celebrated in several Commonwealth nations. It was once a day to donate gifts to those in need, but it has evolved to become a part of Christmas festivities. Nowadays, this day is mainly associated with shopping and sporting events, including horse races, foxhunting, and rugby!😒
The attached bank holiday or public holiday may take place on 27 or 28 December if necessary to ensure it falls on a weekday. Boxing Day is also concurrent with the Christian festival Saint Stephen's Day🤩

Carol-Ann Duffy
The year dwindles and glows
to December's red jewel,
my birth month.
The sky blushes,
and lays its cheek
on the sparkling fields.
Then dusk swaddles the cattle,
their silhouettes
simple as faith.
These nights are gifts,
our hands unwrapping the darkness
to see what we have.
The train rushes, ecstatic,
to where you are,
my bright star.
