More drilling and destruction of the land

So, we are being told... we may not be able to need a petrol or diesel car, soon. ye know its bad for the environment...... But, my question is... How are theses BIG diggers and Drills run.? Are they electric...? I would think not, So..... Its Ok to use diesel to fuel your machines if, you are digging for gold or ore or oil...would it not be expensive in the long run, while loosing environment and its surroundings. But paddy down the road cant use his car, or Mary cant use hers, to bring her kids to school in the pissing rain..? what is its true cost...? and who gains, The people or state OWNED by the people.
