Russia Demands Explanation for Biden’s Nord Stream 2 Comments

On February 7, Biden appeared to make a direct threat to Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline, promising that the US would be able to “bring an end to it” should Russia “invade Ukraine.”

Fast forward to September, and Nord Stream 2 has been mysteriously damaged, seemingly by an act of sabotage.

Now Moscow is demanding a thorough investigation into the incident, while the EU has warned that “any deliberate disruption of active European energy infrastructure is unacceptable and will lead to the strongest possible response.”
