This isn’t “a vicious new phase”. Nationalists and actual dissidents lost their PayPal accounts years ago, along with all their social media accounts and access to things like Mailchimp, web hosting and fundraiser websites.
We’re now at the stage of people having their personal bank accounts shut down but I doubt they’ll make any noise about that until it happens to somebody more mainstream.

I do see things like this and think its a good idea..Then I ask myself, why dont the energy consuming Data centres do the same.?
