Our nation is being flooded now because of europe, and with a decline in our people NOT having children of their own, because of things like abortion and the cost of living and frankly a roof over a couple head.. We are in serious decline as a gaelic people , that is a fact.? I also do not trust the figure of 9,999 over the past three years.? It is too rounded off, I believe there may be a lot more than meets the eye.. We need to elect our people into the local government to take a look at the real figures.. It is a must.

In 1873, A Scottish professor of many languages, including scottish gaelic by the name of John S Blackie, had made his first trip over to Ireland to experience the " máṫairṫeanga" mother tongue of Scottish gaelic to find that, here in Ireland hardly anyone spoke the language.
