Over the years, ballymun had been turned from the tight community it once was, with its seperate boys and girls schools and its shop under the bridge.. i remember, when i was a child growing up in the flats of salough road, until i was about 7. my mam used to run a playschool under one of the flats, bringing communities together. Ballymun was a people brought together through hardships.. the 80's was hard on her, to now feel like it has lost its spark.. spread out and seperated by new street names, which played no part in its history and walled communities seperating a new generation of strangers, until now, please god the people of ballymun learn to come together once again..and rise up, like the old grey flats once stood. you have given me some memories to cherish..
