👉Liability for Defamation
When an act of defamation is committed through media, it shall result in civil liability, not criminal liability.
Although, with the exception of an attack on individuals without any public interest, when the content of the statement is true, and there is no intent to harm;
When statements were made with the genuine belief that the statements are true after following acceptable mechanisms and means to verify the accuracy of facts;
And when the statement is made in the interest of the public shall not result in civil liability for defamation.

የኢትዮጵያ ሰብዓዊ መብቶች ጉባዔ (ኢሰመጉ) ከUSAID Feteh (Justice) Activity ጋር በመተባበር ለሀገር በቀል የሲቪል ማህበራት ድርጅቶች በተፈናቃዮች መብቶች እና ጥበቃ፤ በግጭት አፈታት/ሰላም ግንባታ ውስጥ ባላቸው ሚና እንዲሁም በሰብዓዊ መብቶች ጥሰቶች የክትትል፣ የምርመራ፣ የዶክመንቴሽን እና የዘገባ ክህሎቶቻቸው ዙሪያ የሚያጠነጥን የ3 ቀናት የአቅም ግንባታ ስልጠና ዛሬ ህዳር 27 ቀን 2015 ዓ.ም በማግለኖሊያ ሆቴል መስጠት ጀምሯል፡፡ተመሳሳይ የሆነ ስልጠና ከህዳር 14-16, 2015 በባርዳር ከተማ ለሚገኙ የሲቪል ማህበራት መስጠቱ የሚታወስ ነው፡፡
The Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO), in collaboration with USAID Feteh(Justice) Activity, has launched a three-day capacity-building training for local Civil Society organizations (CSOs) focusing on the rights and protection of IDPs' ; their role in peace-building, and monitoring, investigation,documentation, and reporting skills of human rights violations, today, December 6, 2022, at Magnolia Hotel and Conference Center. It is to be recalled that from November 23-25 2022, EHRCO provided similar training to CSOs located in Bahirdar city.

The implementation of sustainable solutions in Ethiopia, the role of civic Societies in the implementation of sustainable solutions and legal frameworks (international, national and national laws) were among the issues extensively explored during the training.
