Intro

Looking at the table, it can be seen that “Breakthroughs in medicine” is the most frequently given response to the survey question “What technological advancement are you most excited about?” (36%). In addition, “Personalised learning technologies” and “Hyper-speed transportation” make up 19% and 12% of the total respectively.

Further analysis of the responses reveals that the figure for “Eco-friendly decisions” (24%)is higher than that for “Advanced translation technologies” (9%).It can be assumed that environmental problems receive a lot of media coverage in Zetland. At the same time, I can suggest that translation technologies are already advanced enough and meet all the Zetlanders’ needs.

It is important to note that one of the problems that can arise with technological advancement is that people often become overly reliant on technologies in their daily lives and may lose some basic life skills, such as navigating a city or washing the dishes. A solution is for local authorities to organise “technology- free” festivals, at which people will practise doing different things without any technologies.

In conclusion, I believe that science plays an important role in our lives as it offers multiple opportunities to make a difference in many people’s lives by introducing solutions to many of the problems we are facing today.

Intro

To begin with, I would like to say that the response “To have fun” is the most frequently given answer to the question “Why do you go camping», with 49% of the respondents choosing this option. In conclusion, I think that camping is very popular with my friends as it is a perfect opportunity to get new experiences and connect with nature

Hi Dasha, I have found two pictures for our project Space Exploration, but I can't send them, so I will have to tell you about them. I will start with describing them. In the first picture I can see a cosmonaut who is sitting on a wooden armchair and looking at the Earth. She or he is probably on the moon. In the second picture, I can see a woman and a man who are probably in a museum. They are learning about space, looking at models of different planets. The main difference between the two photos is that they depict two different ways of learning more about space. Being a cosmonaut and traveling in outer space, like in the first picture, and going to museums, like in the second picture. Obviously, both ways of learning more about space have their advantages and disadvantages. Speaking of being a cosmonaut, on the positive side, you can get a lot of unforgettable emotions because you can see the space with your own eyes. But on the flip side, it has a detrimental effect on your health because of extreme temperatures and radiation in outer space. As for going to museums, you just need to go to the place where the exhibitions are. So it is really easy to learn about space. But on the other hand, it can be really noisy because there are a lot of people who are also interested in space exploration. So you can have a headache after the excursion. Personally, I would prefer to go to the museum because I think it is more safer and interesting. That's all for now. Tell me what you think. Bye.

The main difference between the photos is that they depict 2 different “ways/types of smth”: type 1, like in one photo, and type 2, like in the other photo.

Hi Vicky! I have found 2 pictures for our project “Volunteering in Russia” but I can’t send them now so let me tell you about them.

Let me start with describing them. In one picture I can see a clown in a hospital ward. He is juggling. He's wearing a wig. There are some kids and nurses in the ward who are watching the show. They look amazed.
In the other photo I can see a girl, she is outside. She is holding a saucepan and she’s feeding some puppies. In the background there’s a building which looks like a dog shelter.

The main difference between the photos is that they depict 2 different ways of volunteering: volunteering which involves working with sick kids, like in one photo, and volunteering which involves helping animals like in the other photo.
That’s why I think these photos are great for our project.

Now let me tell you about some advantages and disadvantages of the two ways of volunteering. Entertaining sick children is really rewarding but on the negative side, it is very emotionally demanding. As for helping animals, on the positive side, you can save their lives, however, such animals are often aggressive and can attack volunteers.

Personally, I would prefer to volunteer with kids because I think that it’s important to help them forget about their illness for some time, and make their lives at hospital a little happier.

1) вопросы должны быть содержательными (какого цвета обложка книги, сколько страниц в книге - не принимается);

2) друг должен быть способен ответить на этот вопрос (сколько еще писем ты отправишь Санте? - он не может знать ответ на этот вопрос);

3) порядок вопросов важен. Если мы задаем вопрос про необычный подарок, то сначала спросим «Что это за подарок?», а только потом все остальное.

На мой взгляд, лучший способ справиться с вопросами - сначала прописать ответы, а затем преобразовать их в вопросы.
