I am currently working on a project on what outdoor summer activities Zetland teenagers like the most, and I have found a pie chart with the results of a survey. I am going to analyse them and express my opinion.

To begin with, I would like to say that 23% of those polled choose “Riding a bike or a scooter” as a response to the survey question “What outdoor summer activity do you like the most?”. It can also be seen that “playing active games” makes up 16% of the total, and the least frequently cited option is “Working out on a sports ground” (7%)

According to the data, 46% of those polled like walking with friends the most, while 8% say that their favorite activity is rollerblading. This is not surprising as the former plays a crucial role for adolescents. In addition, it does not require any special skills unlike the latter.

However, there are some problems which can arise while playing active games in the summer. One of them
is that one can get a sunburn or even a sunstroke in hot and sunny weather . A solution is to wear a cap or a hat and put on sunscreen on sunny days.

In conclusion, I believe that spending enough time outdoors in the summer is very important for teenagers because it helps them to keep fit. Apart from that, it has a positive impact on their emotional wellbeing .

To begin with, I would like to say that the most frequently cited response to the survey question “How would you like to celebrate high school graduation ?” is “A class trip to a famous city” (35%). It can also be seen that “Just getting my certificate and celebrating with my family ” makes up 9% of the total, and the lowest proportion of the respondents choose “Attending a festival or a concert” (5%)

According to the data, 34% of those polled would like to have a party in a cafe with dances and a DJ, while 17% would enjoy having a picnic. This is not surprising as such a party can take place irrespective of the weather, while a picnic can get cancelled if it starts raining.

However, there are some problems which can arise with preparation for a school-leaving party. One of them
is that such events take place in June, when students work hard to get ready for their final exams. As a result, many of them often fail to prepare for the party properly. A solution is to start preparation in advance, for example, in winter.

In conclusion, I believe that the best way to celebrate school graduation is to go home and have dinner with my family because I do not have good relationships with my classmates.

Смотрим методические рекомендации:

В задании 38 лексический запас должен соответствовать высокому уровню.

Ограниченность словарного запаса показывают:
 повторы одних и тех же слов, отсутствие синонимов;
 отсутствие антонимов;
 некорректное употребление слова;
 нарушение сочетаемости.

То есть:
Избегаем повторов, используем нужные слова, учим коллокации (have a negative impact, а не make a negative impact).
Нет требования про использование «умных» слов (хотя в шаблонах есть такие слова).

В задании 38 грамматические средства также должны соответствовать высоком уровню сложности задания.

Ограниченность грамматических средств показывают:

 повторы одних и тех же конструкций;
 использование только простых коротких предложений;
 отсутствие распространённых предложений;
 некорректное использование грамматических средств.

Нет требования про использование сложной грамматики на В2.

То есть:

Используем разные конструкции,
пишем распространенные предложения,
не косячим в грамматике.

В методических рекомендациях не заявлены списки необходимых языковых средств на уровень В2.

В целом все это значит, что в отличие от, например, IELTS, нам важно всего три вещи:

Избегать повторов;
Не косячить;
Писать распространенными предложениями.

Что считается грамматическими ошибками?

К грамматическим ошибкам относятся:

 ошибки в употреблении видовременных форм глаголов, неличных форм глаголов,
модальных глаголов;
форм множественного числа и притяжательного падежа существительных;
форм степеней сравнения прилагательных и наречий;
артиклей,
предлогов,
местоимений
и т.д. (см. Кодификатор);

 ошибки в порядке слов в предложении;
 пропуск слова (подлежащего и сказуемого), влияющий на грамматическую структуру предложения;
 ошибки в словообразовании, если меняется часть речи, например от прилагательного active вместо существительного activity образуют наречие actively.

Подчеркнём, что все ошибки, связанные с неполнозначными частями речи, являются грамматическими ошибками. Так, например, участники экзамена часто путают ‘every’ и
‘any’ – это грамматическая ошибка, поскольку местоимения не являются полнозначными словами.

Не следует путать лексические и грамматические ошибки. Если изменяется значение слова, то это лексическая ошибка.

Неправильное употребление предлога – грамматическая
ошибка, послелога (вторая часть фразового глагола) – лексическая ошибка.
Если неправильно употреблена часть речи (например, прилагательное вместо наречия или наоборот), то это грамматическая ошибка.

Грамматическими ошибками являются thank’s вмеcто thanks, it’s вместо its.

Не следует путать лексические ошибки и ошибки в использовании средств связи, например, In the one hand вместо On the one hand. Это ошибки, которые показывают, что
участник экзамена не владеет средствами логической связи, т.е. эти ошибки относятся к организации текста и оцениваются по соответствующему критерию.

Повторяющиеся ошибки, т.е. ошибки на одно и то же правило любого типа в грамматике, лексике, орфографии, пунктуации, считаются как одна ошибка.

To begin with, I would like to say that ice skating is the most popular outdoor winter activity among the respondents (37%). It can also be seen that 33% of those polled prefer playing snowballs, and “tobogganing ” makes up 10% of the total//and another 10% enjoy tobogganing most of all.

According to the data, 15% of the surveyed prefer making a snowman, while only 5% say that their favorite outdoor winter activity is skiing. This is not surprising as unlike the latter, the former does not require any special skills.

Unfortunately, there are some problems which can arise with children spending time outdoors in winter. One of them
is that they can lose the track of time and stay outside for too long. As a result, children can catch a cold. A solution is to install a special app on a child’s phone, which will remind them about the right time to go home.

In conclusion, I believe that children should spend at least 30 minutes a day outdoors in winter and 60 minutes in summer, because in hot summer months the risk of getting a cold is lower than in winter.

A solution is for parents to dress children in windproof clothing and provide opportunities for them to warm up indoors periodically during outdoor play.

To begin with, I would like to say that the most frequently chosen response to the survey question “What skills and qualities do you think are most important for your dream job ?” is “problem-solving and critical thinking ”, with 40% of the respondents choosing it. In addition, the options “Accuracy and attention to detail” and “Passion and enthusiasm”make up 16% and 9%of the total respectively.

According to the data, the proportion of those who believe that communication and collaboration are the most important skills for the job of their dream (30%) is higher than that of those in whose opinion leadership and initiative are of utmost importance (5%). It can be inferred that many good jobs in Zetland require dealing with people and sorting out problems. At the same time, I can assume that many of those surveyed are afraid of responsibility associated with jobs which require leadership skills.

However, there is a typical problem that can arise with not having the necessary skills for your dream job. If you lack such skills, you can fail to do your job properly. As a result, you can be dismissed. A solution is to ask your employer for some on-the-job training to acquire the skills you need.

In conclusion, I believe that professional training is very important for my future job because it will help me gain knowledge and hone my skills.
