In the early 1990s, Paul Karason began taking homemade colloidal silver as a self-treatment for various health issues, including sinus and skin problems. He consumed it daily for years and also applied it to his skin, believing it was a natural remedy.โ

Over time, silver particles built up in his body and caused a rare condition called argyria, which permanently turned his skin a blue-gray color when exposed to light. Karason reportedly did not notice the change at first until someone pointed it out years later, thinking it was makeup or discoloration.โ

He later gained international attention after appearing on television in the 2000s to discuss his condition. His case became one of the most widely known examples of argyria, a visible and irreversible result of long-term silver exposure. He died in 2013 at the age of 62.

Lens and Mirror formulas look similar because both are derived from the same ray tracing principles. They both predict how light converges/diverges to form images. Lens formulas has the subtraction sign, mirror formula has the plus. (Mirror formula is the blue guy).

A titrationโs color change comes from an indicator, which only changes color when the solution reaches a certain pH. If you keep adding base and nothing happens, it either means that the acid is being neutralized much more than expected, or you literally forgot to add the indicator.
