โ In space, astronauts are far away from the Earth's gravity and are moving at high speeds, which means that time passes more slowly for them compared to people on Earth. This effect is known as time dilation.According to Einstein's theory of relativity, more the velocity then more will be the time dilation.
๐The difference in the rate of time passage is very small, but over long periods of time, it can add up. For example, astronauts on the International Space Station for six months will have aged slightly less than people on Earth during that same period. However, this time dilation effect is only significant at very high speeds and in very strong gravitational fields, and is not noticeable in day-to-day life.
