Recently, Iβve noticed that (Telegram) usernames have reached a point where prices are becoming increasingly detached from reality.
A big part of this comes from people setting their own prices and treating almost any valuation as justifiable simply because a username is rare, short, or recognizable. Once a few inflated prices are established, they start setting unrealistic expectations for the rest of the market.
Iβll probably be one of the first to say this publicly, but I think itβs time for some of these @βs to come down.
Thereβs nothing wrong with premium usernames having premium prices, but thereβs a difference between genuine value and simply putting an arbitrary number on something and expecting the market to accept it.
Some prices are overdue for a correction.
