Kodama emphasized Cardano's is in top three most actively developed blockchain networks, according to Santiment data.
Cardano decentralized finance (DeFi) products have also reached total value locked (TVL) all-time highs over the past few months, with decentralized exchanges (DEXes) and other DeFi products continuing to attract users and expand the Cardano DeFi ecosystem.

Crypto firms welcomed the passing of the landmark MiCA Crypto Law by the European Parliament, which bring in new rules for the industry
Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) passed with 517 votes in favor.
Stefan Berger, the creator of the bill, said that Europe is now the “first continent with comprehensive regulation for crypto assets.”
“The European Parliament’s adoption of MiCA today is a pivotal moment for the crypto industry in the region” said Tom Duff Gordon, Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase. “The region is recognising the potential and societal promise that emerging technology can provide".
MiCA will not come into effect immediately. Once it has been approved by the European Council, it can be officially made EU law.

On April 23, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has announced a new digital asset that will be backed by gold and will be used as legal tender in the African nation.
This move will allow those holding small amounts of Zimbabwean dollars to exchange their money for digital tokens. This will help them store value and hedge against currency volatility.
Since the beginning of the year, gold prices have increased by 8.25%. Comparatively, Bitcoin prices have surged this year, gaining around 70% since January 1.

Bitcoin price jumps 💥
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) spiked more than 3% in the last 24 hours as fears were sparked of another possible imminent bank failure as First Republic Bank (FRC) shares closed down more than 50% on April 25.
Data from crypto analytics firm Santiment suggested the correlation between Bitcoin and the S&P 500 may be dwindling as the narrative that Bitcoin is a safe haven amid the banking crisis began to once again gather steam.
