Bitcoin white paper is apparently hiding in Apple’s modern macOS
Satoshi Nakamoto’s original white paper laying out the Bitcoin network is seemingly hiding within every modern version of the operating system for Apple’s Mac computers.
An April 5 blog post from technologist Andy Baio revealed that a PDF of the Bitcoin white paper has “apparently shipped with every copy of macOS since Mojave in 2018.”
It’s unknown why Nakamoto’s white paper is shipped with modern versions of macOS.

Bill protecting bitcoin mining rights passes in Arkansas Senate and House 📝
A bill seeking to regulate Bitcoin BTC mining activity in Arkansas has passed in the state’s House of Representatives and Senate. The bill will now move to the governor’s office for approval.
According to the bill, the Arkansas Data Centers Act of 2023 intends to regulate the Bitcoin mining industry in the American state, creating guidelines for miners and protecting them from discriminatory regulations and taxes.
Under the legislation, crypto miners will also have the same rights as data centers.

SushiSwap approval bug leads to $3.3M exploit 🔐
A bug on a smart contract on the decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol SushiSwap led to over $3 million in losses in the early hours of April 9.
According to DefiLlama pseudonymous developer 0xngmi, the hack should only affect users who swapped in the protocol in the past four days.
Sushi’s head developer, Jared Grey, urged users to revoke permissions for all contracts on the protocol. Hours after the incident, Grey took to Twitter to announce that a ”large portion of affected funds” had been recovered through a white hat security process.

Bitcoin hits $30K to mark highest price since June 2022
Bitcoin has hit price highs not seen since mid-2022 with the largest crypto by market cap touching $30,000 and setting a new high for 2023.
In the last 30 days, BTC recorded gains of nearly 46%, rising to its highest level in ten months on April 11.
Some analysts predicted that it would regain its $30,000 price tag as traders await the United States Consumer Price Index (CPI) report on April 12, which will give insight into the Federal Reserve's battle against inflation.

Crypto market intelligence platform Santiment suggested that the number of bitcoin investors turning into long-term holders have been spiking recently. Glassnode determined that more than 50% of all BTC in circulation has not moved in the past two years.
As analyzed by Santiment, the total amount of individuals and entities holding bitcoin for the long run has soared to almost 45 million.

Altcoins gearing up for next rally🔥
All eyes have been recently on the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH), however, some altcoins show strong technical setup for a rally ahead.

The securities regulator of Argentina has approved a Bitcoin-based futures index set to debut on the Matba Rofex exchange. The Bitcoin futures contract will start trading in May, with the exchange claiming it would be the first regulated Bitcoin futures index in Latin America.
The National Commission of Value (CNV), the country’s securities regulator, approved the Bitcoin futures index as part of a strategic innovation agenda.
The innovation agenda, launched in the first quarter of 2022, is focused on creating a space for public-private collaboration to develop new and creative products in the capital market.
