This month, our team has been working hand-in-hand with local families and artisans, sourcing locally crafted wood, materials, and handmade elements for the next phase of construction. Every item we purchase supports small businesses, creates jobs, and keeps the economic impact directly within the Sumbanese community.
At the same time, we’ve continued our tree-planting initiatives across several regions of Sumba. Hundreds of new trees have already been planted, with many more scheduled in the coming weeks.
Our long-term mission is clear:

Every sunrise will bring new planted areas, fresh vegetation and the creation of tropical corridors connecting villas, glampings, studios and common spaces.
And that is only the beginning.
We have also acquired multiple Starlink systems to guarantee fast, stable internet across all common areas, starting in December.

In a remote place like Sumba, finding the right suppliers for certain things, especially landscaping, can sometimes be challenging. Thanks to your feedback, we have now secured a new team and a clear plan.
