This month, our team has been working hand-in-hand with local families and artisans, sourcing locally crafted wood, materials, and handmade elements for the next phase of construction. Every item we purchase supports small businesses, creates jobs, and keeps the economic impact directly within the Sumbanese community.
At the same time, we’ve continued our tree-planting initiatives across several regions of Sumba. Hundreds of new trees have already been planted, with many more scheduled in the coming weeks.
Our long-term mission is clear:

• We plant trees to restore natural ecosystems

Every sunrise will bring new planted areas, fresh vegetation and the creation of tropical corridors connecting villas, glampings, studios and common spaces.
And that is only the beginning.
We have also acquired multiple Starlink systems to guarantee fast, stable internet across all common areas, starting in December.

As many of you know, first impressions matter a lot, and your suggestions always help us improve. In a remote place like Sumba, finding the right suppliers for certain things, especially landscaping, can sometimes be challenging. Thanks to your feedback, we have now secured a new team and a clear plan.
Starting in December, we will refresh all twenty four units already built, as well as the new ones that are beginning soon.
