This month, our team has been working hand-in-hand with local families and artisans, sourcing locally crafted wood, materials, and handmade elements for the next phase of construction. Every item we purchase supports small businesses, creates jobs, and keeps the economic impact directly within the Sumbanese community.
At the same time, we’ve continued our tree-planting initiatives across several regions of Sumba. Hundreds of new trees have already been planted, with many more scheduled in the coming weeks.
Our long-term mission is clear:
🌿 To become a carbon-zero community.
What does this mean for Eco Beach City?
• We source materials locally to reduce transport emissions
• We plant trees to restore natural ecosystems
• We create jobs and long-term opportunities for Sumbanese families
• We reinvest a portion of every project directly into the island’s environment

More updates: starting this December, our new landscaping team begins an island-wide transformation to bring lush green life to every path, every garden, every view.
Every sunrise will bring new planted areas, fresh vegetation and the creation of tropical corridors connecting villas, glampings, studios and common spaces.
And that is only the beginning.
We have also acquired multiple Starlink systems to guarantee fast, stable internet across all common areas, starting in December.
You will enjoy full-speed connection in:

• Tennis court
• And padel court.
We are also excited to confirm that construction has begun on the first shared bathroom and shower facilities for the glamping area.

As many of you know, first impressions matter a lot, and your suggestions always help us improve. In a remote place like Sumba, finding the right suppliers for certain things, especially landscaping, can sometimes be challenging. Thanks to your feedback, we have now secured a new team and a clear plan.
Starting in December, we will refresh all twenty four units already built, as well as the new ones that are beginning soon. The image you see here is only a simple render, but the real transformation will look even better. Step by step, and with your input, the paradise is becoming greener, cleaner and more beautiful.
