Timetable

نکته ای در مورد کلمه angry:

همانطور که حتما می دانید کلمه angry به معنی ‘عصبانی’ است؛ خیلی وقت ها برای نشان دادن شدت عصبانیت بیشتر از قید very قبل از آن استفاده می شود، یعنی به صورت very angry.

مثال:

I got very angry with her.

من از او خیلی عصبانی شدم.


اما خیلی از صفات در زبان انگلیسی هستند که مفهوم ‘خیلی’ را در خود کلمه دارند. در خصوص very angry هم به همین صورت است، یعنی ما به جای اینکه بگوییم very angry می توانیم از کلمه furious استفاده کنیم که هر دو هم معنی هستند:

به دو مثال هم برای furious توجه کنید:


I was late and he was furious with me

من دیر کردم و او خیلی از من عصبانی بود.


He was furious about the accident.

او در مورد تصادف خیلی عصبانی بود.
