I'M MALAKUL MAUT 👹

It was early in the morning at four,
When death knocked upon a bedroom door.

Who is there? The sleeping one cried.
I'm Malkul Maut (Angel Of Death), let me inside.

At once, the man began to shiver,
As one sweating in deadly fever,

He shouted to his sleeping wife,
Don't let him take away my life.

Please go away, O Angel of Death!
Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet.

My parents and family on me depends,
Give me a chance, O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again,
Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,

Its your soul Allah requires,
I come not with my own desires..

Bewildered, the man began to cry,
O Angel I'm so afraid to die,

I'll give you gold and be your slave,
Don't send me to the unlit grave.

Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,
Open the door; get up from your bed,

If you do not allow me in,
I will walk through it, like a Jinn.

The man held a gun in his hand,
Ready to defy the Angel's stand..

I'll point my gun, towards your head,
You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.

By now the Angel was in the room,
Saying, O Friend! Prepare for you doom.

Foolish man, Angels never die,(except when Allah will give death to everyone on day of kayamat)
Put down your gun and do not sigh.
Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,
To die according to Allah's plan?
Come smile at me, do not be grim,
Be Happy, to return to Him.

O Angel! I bow my head in shame;
I had no time to take Allah's Name.

From morning till dusk, I made my wealth,
Not even caring for my own health.

Allah's command I never obeyed,
Nor five times a day I ever prayed.

Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,
But I had no time to repent.

The Hajj was already FARD on me,
But I would not part with my money.

All charities I did ignore,
Taking usury more and more.

Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine,
With flirting women I sat to dine...

O Angel! I appeal to you,
Spare my life for a year or two.

The Laws of Quran I will obey,
I'll begin my SALAT this very day.

My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,
And keep away from self-conceit.

I will refrain from usury,
And give all my wealth to charity,

Wine and wenches I will detest,
Allah's oneness I will attest.

We Angels do what Allah demands,
We cannot go against His commands..

Death is ordained for everyone,
Father, mother, daughter or son.

I’m afraid this moment is your last,
Now be reminded, of your past,

do understand your dreadful fears,
But it is now too late for your tears.

You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did to you, your people adore.

Your parents, you did not obey,
Hungry beggars, you turned away.

Your two ill-gotten, female offspring,
In nightclubs, for livelihood they sing.

Instead of making many more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims?

You did ignore the Mua'dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the Holy Quran.

Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife

From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
And for your poor workers, you underpaid.

Horses and cars were your leisure,
Moneymaking was your pleasure.

You ate vitamins and grew more fat,
With the very sick, you never sat.

A pint of blood you never gave,
Which could a little baby save?

O Human, you have done enough wrong,
You bought good properties for a song.

When the farmers appealed to you,
You did not have mercy, tis true.

Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.

There is no time for you to repent,
I'll take your soul for which I am sent.

The ending however, is very sad,
Eventually the man became mad

With a cry, he jumped out of bed,
And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader! Take moral from here,
You never know, your end may be near

Change your living and make amends
For heaven, on your deeds depends.

if this poem inspires you,
It can help someone too.

At least take some time, and do not ban
And send it to as many people as you can.
This poem may change many lives,
And Allah may have for you a great surprise...🥀

Lesson 12th

Simple present tense:

The simple present tense is one of the most fundamental verb tenses in English. It is primarily used to describe habitual actions, general truths, and facts. Here’s a comprehensive overview:

▎1. Forming the Simple Present Tense

Affirmative Sentences:

• Structure: Subject + base form of the verb (+ s/es for third-person singular)

• Examples:

  • I play soccer.

  • She plays soccer.

Negative Sentences:

• Structure: Subject + do/does not + base form of the verb

• Examples:

  • I do not (don't) play soccer.

  • He does not (doesn't) play soccer.

Interrogative Sentences:

• Structure: Do/Does + subject + base form of the verb?

• Examples:

  • Do you play soccer?

  • Does she play soccer?

▎2. Usage of the Simple Present Tense

1. Habitual Actions:

   • To express routines or habits.

   • Example: "I go to the gym every day."

2. General Truths and Facts:

   • To state facts that are always true.

   • Example: "Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius."

3. Scheduled Events:

   • To describe scheduled events in the near future, often in timetables.

   • Example: "The train leaves at 6 PM."

4. Instructions and Directions:

   • To give instructions or directions.

   • Example: "First, chop the vegetables."

5. Commentaries and Narratives:

   • To provide commentary in sports or narratives.

   • Example: "He dribbles the ball and scores!"

▎3. Key Points to Remember

• Third-Person Singular: For he, she, and it, add "s" or "es" to the base form of the verb.

  • Examples:

    • "He runs."

    • "She watches."

    • "It goes."

• Spelling Rules for Adding 's' or 'es':

  • For verbs ending in "y" preceded by a consonant, change "y" to "i" and add "es" (e.g., "study" → "studies").

  • For verbs ending in "o," "ch," "sh," or "x," add "es" (e.g., "go" → "goes," "watch" → "watches").

▎4. Common Adverbs of Frequency

Adverbs of frequency are often used with the simple present tense to indicate how often something happens:

• Always

• Usually

• Often

• Sometimes

• Rarely

• Never

Example Sentences:

• I always drink coffee in the morning.

• She rarely goes to the movies.

▎5. Common Mistakes

• Forgetting to add "s" or "es" for third-person singular subjects.

• Using the wrong auxiliary verb in negative and interrogative forms (e.g., using "do" instead of "does" for he, she, it).

▎6. Practice Examples

• Transform these sentences into negative and interrogative forms:

  1. He reads books.

  2. They play basketball.

Answers:

1. Negative: He does not read books. Interrogative: Does he read books?

2. Negative: They do not play basketball. Interrogative: Do they play basketball?

▎Conclusion

The simple present tense is essential for expressing everyday actions, routines, and general truths. Mastering its use will significantly enhance your communication skills in English!

Lesson 8:

Editing:

Editing is a crucial step in the writing process that involves reviewing and revising a piece of text to improve its clarity, coherence, style, and overall quality. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the editing process:

▎1. Types of Editing

• Developmental Editing: Focuses on the structure, content, and overall flow of the piece. It may involve significant changes to the organization and argumentation.

• Line Editing: Concentrates on the style and readability of the text. This involves looking at sentence structure, word choice, and tone.

• Copy Editing: Involves checking for grammatical errors, punctuation, spelling, and consistency in formatting. It ensures that the text adheres to specific style guides (e.g., APA, MLA).

• Proofreading: The final step before publication, proofreading focuses on catching any lingering typos or formatting issues.

▎2. Editing Process

• Initial Read-Through: Read the entire document to get a sense of the overall flow and identify major issues.

• Content Review: Assess whether the content is relevant, accurate, and engaging. Look for gaps in information or areas that need more detail.

• Structural Review: Check the organization of ideas. Ensure paragraphs transition smoothly and that there’s a logical progression of thoughts.

• Sentence-Level Editing: Focus on individual sentences for clarity, conciseness, and style. Look for awkward phrasing or redundancy.

• Grammar and Mechanics: Check for grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes, and spelling issues.

• Formatting Check: Ensure consistency in font, spacing, headings, and any citations.

▎3. Editing Techniques

• Read Aloud: Hearing the text can help catch awkward phrasing and rhythm issues.

• Take Breaks: Stepping away from the text can provide fresh perspective when returning to edit.

• Use Editing Tools: Tools like Grammarly or Hemingway can help identify grammatical errors and improve readability.

• Seek Feedback: Getting input from others can provide valuable insights and highlight areas needing improvement.

▎4. Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Overlooking Structure: Focusing too much on grammar while neglecting overall organization can lead to a disjointed piece.

• Ignoring Audience: Always consider who your audience is and tailor your language and tone accordingly.

• Editing Too Soon: It’s often best to complete a full draft before starting the editing process to maintain flow and coherence.

▎5. Final Steps

• Final Proofread: Conduct a last check for any remaining errors or inconsistencies.

• Get a Second Opinion: If possible, have another set of eyes review your work before final submission or publication.

• Format for Submission: Ensure that your document meets any specific guidelines required for submission (e.g., word count, formatting style).

▎Conclusion

Effective editing can transform a rough draft into a polished piece of writing. It requires patience, attention to detail, and an understanding of both the content and the audience. By following a structured editing process and utilizing various techniques, writers can significantly enhance their work's quality and impact.
