کاربرد عبارت can’t help در انگلیسی:

عبارت can’t help که در زبان انگلیسی زیاد استفاده می شود زمانی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد که بخواهیم بگوییم ‘نمی توانیم جلوی چیزی را بگیریم’.


به یک مثال توجه کنید:


I can’t help spending too much money,


نمی تونم جلوی خرج کردن بیش از حد پول را بگیرم.

*بنابراین از این مثال می توان متوجه شد که شخص گوینده پول بسیار زیادی را خرج می کند و نمی تواند جلوی این خرج بیش از اندازه پولش را بگیرد.


مثالی دیگر:

It was funny, and I couldn't help laughing.

خیلی خنده دار بود و من نتوانستم جلوی خنده ام را بگیرم.


نکته: اگر بعد از can’t help فعل دیگری استفاده شود به انتهای آن فعل باید حروف ing را اضافه کرد، مثل فعل spend در مثال اول که به spending تغییر پیدا کرد و همچنین در مثال دوم هم فعل laugh  به فعل laughing تغییر کرد.
