The interjection:
The interjection ( Latin inte = among, between and iacio = throw ) is a word or phrase thrown into a sentence, like a rock in a pond, to express surprise, anger, glee, or other emotion, often strong. It is autonomous, bearing no grammatical relationship to other words in a sentence.

The interjection, if strong, is usually followed by an exclamation point and is not normally included in formal style.

A quiet or mild interjection in formal prose is followed by a comma.

Examples:

1. Ouch! That slap hurt!
2. Wow! I thought that you died!
3. Holy pussycats! You look so good!
4. Indeed, the proposal was in a good order.
5. Well, the situation never improved.

افعال "tell" و "say" هر دو به معنی گفتن هستند اما کاربردهای گرامری و ساختاری متفاوتی دارند. و
1. ساختار بعد از say"
استفاده میشود و نیازی به مفعول مستقیم ندارد (direct speech معمولاً با یک جمله یا عبارت نقل قول "say" - بعد از say برای مشخص کردن مخاطب از to" استفاده میشود.
مثال ها:
2 ساختار بعد از tell"
بعد از tell"، نیازی به to" نیست.
مثال ها:
- She said, "I am tired."
- He said to me, "I will call you later."
حتما نیاز به مفعول مستقیم دارد یعنی باید به کسی گفته شود tell -
3 وقتی موضوع مهم است و نه مخاطب
- She told me that she was tired.
- He told her to come early.
از "say" استفاده میکنیم وقتی که تاکید بر روی چیزی است که گفته شده نه کسی که آن را شنیده است.
مثال:
+4 وقتی مخاطب مهم است.
- She said she was hungry.
از tell استفاده میکنیم وقتی که تاکید بر روی کسی است که چیزی به او گفته شده.
مثال:
5 استفاده با عبارات خاص
مثال ها:
- She told me she was hungry.
"say" say something, say a word, say yes/no
- "Tell": tell someone something, tell a story, tell the truth, tell a lie
- He said yes to the invitation.
- She told the children a story.
برای "to" برای نقل قول مستقیم یا تاکید بر روی آنچه گفته شده، معمولاً با Say -
