Only through collective action can we hope to create a world where all women, regardless of their circumstances, can live freely and fully.

روز جهانی زن، که در تاریخ ۸ مارس جشن گرفته می‌شود، روزی است که به بزرگداشت دستاوردهای زنان و ترویج برابری جنسیتی در سرتاسر جهان اختصاص دارد. با این حال، وضعیت زنان در افغانستان به‌ویژه در سال‌های اخیر به شدت وخیم شده است.

از زمان به‌دست‌گرفتن کنترل افغانستان توسط طالبان در آگوست ۲۰۲۱، زنان با محدودیت‌های شدیدی در حقوق و آزادی‌های خود روبه‌رو شده‌اند. بسیاری از زنان از ادامه تحصیل و دستیابی به آموزش عالی محروم شده‌اند که در واقع به آن‌ها دسترسی به دانش و فرصت‌های رشد شخصی و حرفه‌ای را سلب کرده است. همچنین، در محل کار نیز شاهد عقب‌گردهای قابل توجهی بوده‌ایم، به طوری که بسیاری از زنان شغل‌های خود را از دست داده یا از کار کردن منع شده‌اند.

علاوه بر محدودیت‌های آموزشی و شغلی، زنان افغان شاهد بازگشت به عقب در آزادی‌های بنیادی خود نیز بوده‌اند. زندگی عمومی برای زنان به طور فزاینده‌ای خطرناک شده است و گزارش‌هایی از آزار و خشونت علیه آن‌ها افزایش یافته است. اجرای قوانین سخت‌گیرانه در مورد پوشش و محدودیت‌ها بر تحرک آن‌ها، توانایی‌شان را برای شرکت در جامعه بیشتر محدود کرده است.

با وجود این چالش‌ها، زنان افغان همچنان شجاعت و مقاومت فوق‌العاده‌ای از خود نشان می‌دهند. بسیاری از فعالان و سازمان‌ها با وجود خطرات زیاد، بی‌وقفه برای حقوق زنان تلاش می‌کنند. آن‌ها سعی دارند تا آگاهی را در مورد وضعیت زنان در افغانستان، هم در سطح محلی و هم بین‌المللی، افزایش دهند.

در این روز جهانی زن، ضروری است که صدای زنان افغان را تقویت کنیم و از مبارزه آن‌ها برای برابری و عدالت حمایت نماییم. جامعه جهانی باید در همبستگی با آن‌ها بایستد و از حقوقشان دفاع کند و اطمینان حاصل کند که مبارزات آن‌ها فراموش نشود. تنها از طریق اقدام جمعی می‌توانیم امیدوار باشیم که دنیایی بسازیم که در آن همه زنان، صرف‌نظر از شرایطشان، بتوانند به طور آزادانه و کامل زندگی کنند.
