We want to be transparent with our community: your funds, accounts, and data on EBR Exchange are completely safe. We've verified that this site has no access to EBR's backend, servers, or database. They simply copied our frontend... the part any browser can see.

What this means for you:

✅ Your EBR account, USDT balance, and trade history are untouched

⚠️ Do NOT create an account or deposit funds on bir[.]exchange... we have no knowledge of who operates it or whether it is trustworthy

⚠️ If you receive any link to bir[.]exchange, treat it as a potential phishing or scam site

🔒 Important Security Update: Action Required Within 72 Hours

EBR Exchange has deployed a new Payment Method Verification System that links every phone number and bank account to exactly one EBR account. This is a permanent, platform-wide security measure to protect all traders from fraud.

What changed: Our system now detects when the same Telebirr number, M-Pesa, CBE, Abyssinia, Dashen, or Awash account is registered across multiple EBR accounts. This is no longer possible going forward... any attempt will be automatically blocked.

⚠️ If you currently have the same payment method registered on more than one EBR account, you must act now.

You have 72 hours from this notice to:

1. Decide which EBR account is your main account

2. On any other account, go to Settings → Payment Methods and delete the shared payment method

3. You may add a different, unique payment method to the secondary account if needed

Once the duplicate payment method is removed, your account will be automatically cleared from our review queue.

What happens if you do nothing:

After the 72-hour window, any account still sharing a payment method with an older EBR account will be permanently banned... including any USDT balance held in that account. No exceptions will be made after the deadline.

If you believe your account was flagged in error (for example, a phone number recently reassigned by your carrier), contact our support team before the deadline with proof of ownership.

Why we are doing this:

A small number of bad actors were registering the same phone number or bank account across multiple accounts to exploit the payment system. This update protects every honest trader on the platform.

If you are a legitimate user with one account, you are not affected and do not need to take any action.
