SCMP據政府人士消息指出蒙面法有可能於星期五（本日）午夜生效，最高刑罰為監禁一年或罰款25000元。保安局喺草案中提供兩條條款：1. 禁止喺公眾活動中蒙面；2. 警察有權喺公眾地方指名任何人除下面罩，無論該人士係咪處於集會入面，一經定罪，相關人士有可能被監禁最多6個月。如果有醫療或宗教原因，蒙面法則不適用。
