أرسلت شرطة هونغ كونغ سيارة مدفع المياه يوم السبت في ٢٠ أكتوبر إلى تسيم شا تسوي، وأطلق تيار المياه الأزرق عالي الضغط على أكبر مسجد في هونغ كونغ خلال تنفيذ الواجب، حيث أظهرت لقطات فيديو أنه لم يكن هناك متظاهرون باستثناء عدة مدنيين خارج المسجد.
بدأت جبهة حقوق الإنسان المدنية (Civil Human Rights Front)، مجتمعاً مدنياً محلياً، مظاهرة حاشدة في تسيم شا تسوي اليوم،على إثر الاضطرابات السياسية في المدينة منذ يونيو 2019، وأفادت وسائل الإعلام بأن داعي الجبهة تعرض للهجوم من قبل عدد من رجال جنوب شرق آسيا بمطارق في الشارع بضعة أيام قبل المظاهرة، وأدان أمناء صندوق المجتمع الإسلامي بهونغ كونغ الهجوم "الوحشي" ، بينما زار رئيس صندوق المجتمع داعي الجبهة في المستشفى.
هناك رأي عام بأن الشرطة كانت تستهدف المسجد والمجتمع المسلم عمداً لإظهار موقف عدائي ضد أي إيماءات كريمة من أي طرف تجاه المجتمع المؤيد لحقوق الإنسان.
英文翻譯：
Hong Kong police dispatched a water cannon car on Sunday, October 20 to Tsim Sha Tsui, and launched a high-pressure blue water stream at Hong Kong's largest mosque during duty execution. Video footages showed there were no protesters but several civilians outside the mosque at that time.
The local civil society Civilian Human Rights Front initiated the massive demonstration in Tsim Sha Tsui today, subsequent to the political unrest in the city since June 2019. The convenor of the society had been reported to be attacked with hammers on the street a few days before the demonstration. The trustees of the Hong Kong Islamic Society Fund were then reported to condemn the "brutal" attack, while the head of the organization had visited the injured at the hospital.
There is a now general view in the city that the police deliberately targeted the mosque and the Muslim community to display a hostile stance against any parties’ kind gestures towards the pro-human rights society.
