Now, I am from bangladesh, here I am building a plants & gardening ecommerce site. We produce all the plants organically utilising compost and all kind of natural elements. We want to reshape this industry with hassle free home gardening, growing own food, be happy and healthy with nature, make the world more greener to tackle climate change and make our lives sustainable.
This is our site made on wordpress using easywp 💚

We have used woocommerce to build the shop. On the homepage we used Categories widget to show all the categories. You can add images to categories from your wp admin. And then the categories list looks great with relevant images. For better experience we have used collages of the items of a category as its image.
Site loading speed was an issue at first, later we realised image size is one of the reason for slow loading. Then we thought and designed a solution for this. We saw that a very low resolution low size image can also perform great as on mobile screen it does need to be super high resolution to see and image clearly. So we did this for every image in our media library.
• Resize the image to 1000*1000
• Convert the image to webp format with 20% quality (The best online site we found to do this is
pixelied
)
Voila! Now the site loads super fast! But there is no notable change in the look of the images we have used throughout the site 😃
★Another thing which helped us a lot is woocommerce products bulk importer option. There is this option in woocommerce to import all the products at once to your site with all the information variable, variety, sale price, description..every info available to input in woocommerce can be filled into the importer sheet and then you just upload the sheet once, all your products are added into woocommerce. We had exploded with wowness when we see that you can even add all the images of the products through that single sheet!! For this you just need to upload all the images to your media library and then copy each image link and put it to that sheet's respected products image column. And you are good to go 💜
