How can I protect my site from hackers also I need more education about using relate-seo plugin

Answer: We have recently launched two amazing security addons which can protect your site from hackers and malware: HackGuardian and MalwareGuardian. Let me tell a bit more about each of them.

1) HackGuardian is EasyWP’s free tool which protects your site by turning your WordPress file system to a partial, read-only mode, meaning only you can make changes. Thus, your site becomes more resistant to cyberattacks. Check out the video to see how this tool works and how to enable it in EasyWP dashboard.

2) MalwareGuardian is EasyWP's another free security tool which continuously monitors your website for threats and provides malware threat reports. How to migrate to EasyWP from another hosting provider?

Answer: Our 24/7 support team can help you with the migration of the website. The instructions can be found here, feel free to get in touch with us through a ticket.
(Also, just wanted to mention that our technical team is also working on a migration tool to automate this process for you, so stay tuned. As for now, our support will be happy to help.)

How to move EasyWP to localhost?

Answer: There's no short answer to that, since setting up & running localhost can be tricky for the first time.
Essentially, you'll need to install & launch a local server environment like XAMPP or WAMP (Windows) or MAMP (Mac). Start the server, ensuring that both Apache and MySQL services are running.

Manual migration:
Then you go on and create a backup of your already existing EasyWP website.
Then you download the backup of the database from easywp dashboard & import it to the newly created database inside phpMyAdmin on your local server (don't forget to copy the database details when you create it).
The files are next: download & unpack the backup of website's files into the root folder for your local server (htdocs in XAMPP, www in WAMP/MAMP).
Then update your wp-config.php file with the database name, username, and password to match your localhost configuration.
In phpMyAdmin, go to the wp_options table in your database. Update the siteurl and home fields to http://localhost/your-folder-name. If everything is set right, your site should now be running locally via http://localhost/your-folder-name in your browser.

Through a plugin:
Although WordPress website migration is a tricky process, it's simple when you've done it at least once. Manual migration calls for many mistakes: you forget one step & get stuck.

Which is why sometimes it's easier to rely on existing migration plugins: you will still need to set up a local server, but then you install from a scratch a brand-new WP website, install a migration plugin there (like Duplicator) & then go through the migration process using the plugin. It makes things a tiny bit easier.


Next question comes from @AlphaTradrz :

Why in the WP backend is the 'Settings' missing and when I click on Plugins it just refreshes and doesnt go to Plugins. Is this because of HackGuardian?

Answer: Our HackGuardian security tool should not cause problems with opening plugins on your site. When HackGuardian is enabled, you will not be able to install or remove existing plugins, but the plugins & menus themselves should work properly. We suggest that you get in touch with our support team, describe the issue & ask them to check for any website error logs for you.
