📜 Lecture Additions ⚡

🧪 Calories & Nutritional Requirements

- 100 mL breast milk → 67 kcal ⚗️

- 150 mL breast milk → 110 kcal ✨

- 110 kcal/kg/day is divided into:

- 🪄 50% Carbohydrates
- 🔮 35% Fat
- ⚡ 15% Protein

- Predominantly protein intake → marked effect on liver & kidney.

- Predominantly fat intake → acidosis → Kussmaul breathing.

🧙🏻‍♀️ Vitamins

- Fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, K

- Excess intake of fat-soluble vitamins → toxicity ☠️

- Folic acid deficiency during pregnancy → may lead to Myelomeningocele; if untreated, it may lead to paraplegia + pernicious anemia.

🪄 Breastfeeding

- Avoid pacifiers & artificial teats to prevent suckling confusion, as the baby may suck on the nipple only rather than the areola containing the lactiferous ducts.

- In complementary feeding → start first with breast milk.

- Breast milk is easily digestible due to its low casein & why protein content and does not cause dyspepsia.

🔮 Immunological Components

- IgA antibodies → taken through the fenestrated intestinal mucosa & pores and are not digested → specific immunity.

- Lactoferrin → bacteriostatic effect by binding iron, which is a source for E. coli.

- Postbiotics → results of bacterial fermentation of prebiotics and contain FA that stimulate immunity.

⚡ Oxytocin

- Suckling reflex → Oxytocin release → contraction of lactiferous ducts.

- Oxytocin deficiency → atonic PPH & infection.

- Lower incidence of breast cancer in women who breast-fed due to evacuation of the breasts.

🧙🏻‍♂️ Colostrum ⭐

- Colostrum is produced in a small amount, so the infant uses stored fat as an energy source to decrease toxins.

🧪 Types of Milk

- Dried milk: 1 milk : 8 water
- Formula 2 milk: high in protein & fat content.
- Half-cream milk: 2 g%
- Skimmed milk: 0.5 g% → given in steatorrhea.

- Cow milk protein is allergic as it contains lactoglobulin.
- Human milk contains lactoalbumin.
- Cow milk is high in casein.

🚫 المذكرة عبارة عن 3 اجزاء

1) Scan code

وده هتلاقي فيه شرح الاوسكي و اسئلة السنين اللي فاتت متجمعه و متقسمه بشكل كويس ❤️🫡

2) OSCE part

المواضيع اللي مطلوبه مننا والحاجات اللي هنكون محتاجين نحفظها في الاوسكي
و دول بيتشرحوا في الأسبوع قبل الأخير فانت هتحضر و تحفظ الكلام اللي في المذكرة و تطبق علي العروسة و زي الفل اوي كده 🔥❤️

3) OSPE part

ده عبارة عن جزء صور على مواضيع النظري بتتشرح عملي
وجزء تاني بتكون مواضيع خاصة بالعملي

🚫 هتلاقي في الاول توضيح ل الصور اللي ممكن تيجي ك عناوين و ايه الأسئلة اللي بتتسأل على كل موضوع

🚫 انت مطالب تبقي عارف الصورة دي بتاعت ايه و حافظ شوية معلومات عن المرض ده فكل ده متجمع ومكتوب في المذكرة

✴️ المواضيع متجمعه بشكل بسيط بحيث تسهل عليك مذاكره العملي وتخلصه في وقت قليل ان شاء الله وتضمن درجاته ❤️
