AICTE Notice: 15th Oct 2020.

Council extended the last date of admission to first year engineering courses (UG and diploma lateral entry) that's 30th November 2020.

In simple words, they said to admission authorities to complete Admission process before 30th November 2020 and start first year engineering classes from 1st December 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Result: How marks will be normalized?

State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will be releasing the MHT CET result 2020 on November 28 at cetcell.mahacet.org or mhtcet2020.mahaonline.gov.in .Candidates who appeared for the exam are eagerly waiting for the MHT CET 2020 result. Candidates will be able to check their MHT CET results using their CET roll number.

MHT CET result 2020 will contain the subject-wise and total percentile scores obtained by the candidates in the exam. The authorities will follow a normalization process to determine MHT CET scores 2020 of the candidates.

MHT CET Normalization Process 2020

The Percentile score of the candidates in MHT CET result 2020 will be the normalized score for the examination. The Percentile Scores will be calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid the bunching effect and reduce ties.

The Percentile score of a Candidate is calculated as follows:

MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 * (Number of candidates in the exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam.

✅Step by Step MHT CET Normalization 2020 (Example 2 days exams in 2 shift):

📌Step-1: Distribution of Examinees in two days and in two shifts per day-
Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has an approximately equal number of candidates.

📌Step-2: Preparation of Results for each Session-
MHT CET results for each session would be prepared in the form of raw scores and percentiles scores separately for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total.

The following 4 Percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the Session (as below picture):
Here, T1, M1, P1, C1 are the raw scores in Total, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of a candidate and T1P, M1P, P1P, C1P are the Percentile Scores of Total, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of that candidate.

📌Step 3: Compilation of Total CET score- The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions would be merged and will be called the CET scores which will then be used for the compilation of MHT CET result 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Admission Process important details

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) Seats: 🎯

📋📋SCHEME DETAILS📋📋

(i) These seats shall be filled in by the Competent Authority.

(ii) The scheme shall be mandatory for all Technical Institutions offering
undergraduate programs that are approved by the All India Council
for Technical Education.

(iii) Seats up to maximum 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course shall
be available. These seats shall be supernumerary in nature and will
be available to such courses in an Institute where a minimum of 30%
of sanctioned seats in the respective courses are filled up in
respective CAP Round. For calculation of 30%, the Institutional
Quota seats retained by institute for the course shall be
considered as completely filled.

(iv) The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the Fee
Regulation Authority for unaided Institutions and by the Government
for the Government and Government Aided Institutions. All other fees
except tuition fees shall be paid by the beneficiary.

(v) The Candidates admitted under this scheme shall not be allowed to
change Institution/course at any stage under any circumstances.

(vi) These seats shall be available for admission to First Year of
Engineering & Technology and Hotel Management & Catering
Technology courses and Pharmacy.


📋📋ELIGIBILITY📋📋

(i) Only Maharashtra State Candidature candidates are eligible for
these seats.

(ii) Eligible Maharashtra State Candidates having their parent’s annual
income less than Rs. 8 Lakh (Rupees Eight Lakh only) from all
sources shall only be eligible for these seats. The candidate shall
submit Income certificate issued by Appropriate Authority.
